Over the course of two weeks in December, several Westmead-based organisations got behind an initiative supporting Foodbank NSW & ACT, led by the Westmead Health Precinct team.

In total, 1,441 items, weighing 555kg worth of donations were collected to help feed people in need, including many in western Sydney.

Westmead Health Precinct's Glen Stubbings applauded the generosity of the people at Westmead.

"It was amazing to see the level of support for this great cause. Our goal was to collect 1,000 items, to see us collect over 1,400 is fantastic. It wouldn't have been possible without the hard work of the Precinct team and the hundreds of people from all organisations who gave so generously. It really brought out the best of our Precinct community."

Glen Stubbings
Communications and Engagement Officer, Westmead Health Precinct
