Redevelopment of the precinct will
  • Transform and deliver innovative, integrated facilities that will continue to deliver high-quality healthcare for decades to come
  • Increase service integration between the adult’s and children’s hospitals
  • Enable greater integration of education, research and health services delivery through a partnership with the University of Sydney providing increased research space in the new Central Acute Services Building
COMPLETED projectS include:
  • Westmead Mother and Baby Unit, which opened in 2023 
  • Stage 1 Building K (Central Acute Services Building) featuring new adult and children's emergency departments, which opened in 2021
CURRENT PROJECTS INCLUDE:
  • Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility Stage 2, expected to be completed by 2025
  • The Children’s Hospital at Westmead – Stage 2 Redevelopment, expected to be completed by 2025
  • Westmead Health Precinct Integrated Mental Health Complex, expected to be completed by 2026
